fears hungry people,egg lovers and palovas,
he would like to see a doctor,

Tangled in the web,

tangled more and more,

pleading to get out.

in circles and squares.

Plaited like hair,

in diamonds and hearts,

searching for a way out.

Caught in the net,

looking, looking,

in the sun.

No ones skipping

the rope is too tangled,

looking for escape.

I smelt hot chocolate steaming away in the cup

I heard my cousin pushed over again crying on the floor

I saw my brothers big chocolate cake lucky him

I tasted a wonderful hot chocolate on the first day,

I smelt a beautiful red flower in the Auckland flower gardens,

I heard the magnificent tui’s calling on the back lawn,

The farm was usual enough . Cows mooing ,grass growing . You could hear the moterbick in the distance . At home mum would be making diner for a famer I call dad . Every other famer dowing nothing important .

At  gymnastics today we did cart-wheels.This lady showed us how to do them. Her name was Kim.

WRITING

This week  we have been doing narrate writing here is some of mine.
AHH!!! Whats wrong Jake asked Lulu. I hade terrors. Like nightmares? Yeah so what was it about? No time. so that was it.

Yellow House in Room 6 made a game called Invasion Stars. The people in Yellow House told everybody the rules. Can you gess who the people in Yellow house are that are in Room 6?

Maths Learning

In Maths we are studying equations.

Can you solve these equations?

1. x + 5 = 9          what does x stand for?

2. 10 - g = 2 + 5   what does g stand for?

We are also learning about < and >.

Is this equation true?                  7 + 2 > 10 - 5

In class we are learning number patterns.Some numbers you have to count in two even tens.

With Mrs Woody we did art pictures about some crazy stories that we wrote yesterday.

Algebra Patterns

In maths we have been learning patterns and we have been repeating them.

On Friday we went to the Olympic Experience at Pohlen Park. My favourite thing  was when we went into the truck and went on the I pads and sent a letter to the Olympic team.

We have been leraning about narrtive.When you right a narrtive you have to have a setting ,who it is about,whats the problem , and how the problem is sloved,and you alwasys use the past tense .

We have been learning about patterns and we have to keep repting the same patterns and making a new one for somone else.

Today we had math when it was maths time I made a math proplem and if you can ansewer it your really smart cuz its pritty hard even i could not ansewer it cuz it was so hard it was 500000+90000 try anser that the anserwer is ......

Today in maths I made a problem with math.  It was 55+55=...  

Buck loves to dance!! When we practice our songs he dances, it is really funny!!

Somrthing Weird about Mr Foster

Our class book is called, "Something Weird about Mr Foster".

Mr Foster can stretch his arms 4m long and do lots of other weird stuff as well.

Chief's are training hard.

On Tuesday we all went to see the Chief's training.

A famous All Black signed auto graphs and spoke to us.

What did we do for art today?
Maungatautari art.
Instead of normal writing we did bubble writing and made the shape of mountains, trees and rivers with the words.

For maths in Kakariki we have been learning our fractons.One half has been cut through the middle.

We have been doing Instructional writing.Today we did instructioal writing of a ham sandwich. What do you need for instructional writing?

We have beeen doing nice pictures. Like leaf rubbings, snowflakes and cartoon transformations.

For our reading I liked how we did the long, long mural.

Have you seen it yet? We will hang it in our class when it is finished.

For mothers day my sister made a cake for her . And I gave her a soop carving and made her a card. For the day my mum went to Tauranga with my sisterBettinaand Jessica and my mum had a great day.

Kiwi reading group have produced a comic on how to train for the cross-country.

Leaf Art

Adam - It was really fun and my group enjoyed painting with the food dye which made it look very colourful.

Rosalie - We like going outside to collect the leaves.

Emma - We  also liked going outside finding leaves and the painting.

Jadon - It was hard to put on the red which covered our leaves.

Swimming

Gemma - Its been really fun doing swimming and I have learned freestyle, backstroke and rolling logs.

Rochelle - We've learned how to do dolphin dives.

Javon - We've learned about breathing positions.

Madeline - We've learned about safe entries and exits into and out of the pool.

Rushing By

The term is rushing by and we having bit of cooler weather now.
Some thoughts:
     Children having water bottles in class is fine.
     Practicing the recorder each week is a good idea.
     Many thanks to my valued swimming helpers.
